overdue

The "usual" birth term is 40 weeks.
Enzo was induced at 41 weeks.
I am currently 40 weeks & will be induced at 40 weeks & 6 days.
Apparently my kids love being in the womb.
But, it's getting uncomfortable when there is a lot of movement.
I'm also nervous to go through the birth experience again.
However, it's time to meet our daughter.
We're waiting for you little one.
Here are a few of my favorite photos from the maternity shoots.

Belinda Felaire Ragadio

The first cousin from my father's side to leave this Earth.
Belinda Felaire Ragadio.
We weren't close by any means.
We acknowledged each other, we know we're family, we respected each other.
When it came down to it, we're there for each other.
There was 24 year age gap.
We've lived in different areas until her family moved to San Diego.
I wish I got to know her better, that's the sad thing about death, you realize things when its too late.
I pray & ask God to continue watching over your family.
Kuya Paul will be joining you shortly.
I pray that Adrian will grow into the man you wanted him to be.
It's weird knowing that you're no longer with us, I'll miss seeing you at family parties.
May 26-Apr 17.

pregnancy

My favorite parts of being pregnant:
1. Creating a life.
2. Feeling the baby move, kick, hiccups, etc.
3. People are nicer to you.

HFMD

I am a constant worrier.
When I became a mom, that worry feeling was enhanced.
Enzo started daycare Mar 2022, after searching & messaging daycares, we finally got him into one.
The 2nd week of daycare, Enzo got hand, foot, mouth disease.
I don't know anything about this, heck, I feel like I don't know anything about a lot of things.
I researched, I looked up forums & googled anything that I could find about this "disease."
Most websites said to let it run its course, of course, that's too easy for us.
Because Enzo has eczema, & because he scratches to soothe himself, this "disease " had spread.
We were advised to go to the ED at 0330 by an advice nurse.
0400, Sunday, daylight savings has begun.
We proceeded to Radys ED, 5 hours later, we were sent home with eczema coxsackium, he was placed on an antiviral & an antibiotic.
Generally Enzo is a happy child, with him feeling ill, it was a 180.
He was needy, clingy, had no appetite, & constantly whining.
I was FURIOUS!
How could this have happened, is this facility dirty? Is it not sanitary? Did we get in because it was not a safe place to bring a child to?
An antiviral, antibiotic, an antimicrobial, & 4 days later, he is finally doing better, THANK GOODNESS.
7 days of his medication, he had a late adverse reaction causing redness to his cheeks...
Again, FURIOUS.
I even googled how to report a day care to public health.
A couple days at home & doses of zyrtec later, my baby was looking normal.
I wish I can stay home with him, but also, it's good for me to be at work. I have a lot of respect for stay at home moms.
