Zaia Rei

I was induced on May 4 2022, 40 wks & 6 days.

1110: checked in
1210: cytotec (1CM)
1605: MD checked (5CM)
1630: epidural
1655: water break by MD
1730: pushed
1755: Zaia born, 6lbs 5.9oz
19.5 in.

On May 5th, Zaia was taken to the NICU for jaundice. I expected her to have it since Enzo had it, however he had lights in the same room as me, Zaia was severe that they took her to be monitored closely. The NICU had great nurses, & compared to the babies next to Zaia, I felt at ease. It did break my heart not being able to hold her, but it was for the best. We were also lucky enough to be able to stay at the hospital during her stay in the NICU.  Sharp offers a "hotel" stay, for $65/night.  We stayed to be near her & it was very convenient for the nurses to call us to come down to feed her.  We also got to stock up on our supply of necessities.  3 days & 3 doses of IVIG, she came home with us, on Mothers day/ Enzos birthday.

With each person that cared for us, we provided a "thank you bag," leftovers from the baby shower. These are the staff that we had:
