We had the kids birthday party today & that felt successful.
The day after on May 8, Enzos actual birthday, we went to the clinic for Zaia's 1 year appointment.
She had been having issues gaining weight which was concerning because she was not meeting her developmental milestones.
I brought the issues up with the doctor, I waited for appointments with physical therapy, I got a 2nd referral for a different physical therapy.
I have to understand that in my heart, I advocated for my daughter.
During Zaias visit, the doctor recommended for us to go to the ER because of her weight gain & her poor oxygen of 93%.
Zaia got admitted.
She has a plethora of doctors on her case.
Internal med, derm, cardio, ENT, pulmonary, genectics & now neuro.
Zaia has an ejection fraction of 45%, normal is 55-65%.
She is aspirating & we are trying to figure out why.
Neuro is now involved because she may have to get imaging of her brain.
I am trying to tell myself there is nothing I could have done, this isn't my fault.
